DACHEL MARTINEZBOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF NEWARK 2009 Youth of the Year 2009 State of New Jersey Youth of the Year Dachel stands out among most members at the Club when it comes to leadership, service, and simply caring about the Club and the people who fill its walls. Dachel has been a member of the Club for 9 years, and has always been an exemplary member. Club Members Win Digital Arts Festivals Each year Club members participate in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America's Digital Arts Festivals. The festivals, sponsored by Microsoft and the Best Buy Children's Foundation, highlights a yearly theme where youth develop content that teaches web design, graphic design, photo illustration, digital music and movie making. Youth enter local Club competitions and that can eventually lead to winning a National Title for their work. This year's Digital Arts Festival theme is "THe Environment." The creative mission is to show --visually, musically or with words – the change in the world you see or want to see in relation to the environment.
