The last day of the after school program is quickly coming to a halt in order to get ready for Life Camp & Summer Enrichment! July 18th, 2010 marks the big day for all of us. We will be holding an End of the Year Celebration and Cookout as well as the last (and greatest) Family Night for this year. We are looking for donations in the form of money, food, and even decorations. Aside from bountiful and delicious food, there will be the judging of Ms. Brown’s Art Contest, as well as trophies and certificates for the outstanding members of the Club. This would be a wonderful day for families to get together and have their portrait professionally taken by Mr. M as well.
What are you waiting for? Come on out and enjoy a memorable day with your child and our friendly staff! See you there!
Also, view our End of the Year Celebration flyer!
Interested in helping animals? The Humane Society of the United States is coming to our Central Ward Clubhouse! They will be giving a presentation with live animals on June 11, 2010 at 4:00pm. If you would like your Boys and Girls Clubs member to better understand the world-wide problems evolving around them, this is the perfect opportunity to get them in the right thinking pattern. As always, do not adopt a pet on impulse. Please always do your research before hand to understand the best match for you.
On a side note, it is getting hotter every day and your dog can feel it. If you haven’t groomed him already, now is a good time to donate his hair to fight off the seemingly endless oil spill that affects every single being on this planet! All you have to do is visit this link for more information how you and your pets hair can be the answer to this devastating emergency.
