Our Clubs are a second home for most of our members. Our doors embrace children from all over Newark and neighboring towns.  -Has full-time professional leadership.
Our dedicated staff is supplemented by part-time workers and volunteers. -Builds character.
Our Club programs help to instill good character traits and enable our members to develop positive relationships. -Assures that all young people can afford to belong.
Membership dues are affordable, allowing all to join. No one is turned away! -Is building centered.
Activities are conducted in the friendly atmosphere of our three conveniently located facilities in the community. -Offers hope and opportunity.
All programs are designed to empower youth to succeed and excel in their current and future endeavors. -Is a community pillar.
Established in 1938, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newark (BGCN) is celebrating its 70 year anniversary as a non-profit, privately operated youth development organization. -Offers varied and diversified programs.
BGCN responds to the collective and individual needs of young people, utilizing nationally recognized educational and recreational programs that have proven effective over many years. -Is guidance-oriented.
BGCN emphasizes positive values in the relationships members have with each other and their adult leaders. We help boys and girls make appropriate and satisfying choices in their physical, personal, and social lives. |
