Summer Camp is a wonderful, fun-filled way to enrich the experience of Boys & Girls Clubs of Newark. We currently offer two summer day camps. The beautiful, woodsy campus of our Life Camp takes Club members out of the city environment, offering daily outdoor adventures and character building. Our Summer Enrichment Camp, located at our Club locations, is an extension of BGCN programming and promotes academic and social growth. Both camps offer unforgettable experiences and memories to last a lifetime.

Located in Pottersville, NJ, our 100-acre campus at Life Camp allows campers to get close to nature as they explore a wide range of physical, artistic and character building activities. Our facilities include a pool, a 5-mile bike course, an outdoor education course, a computer lab, a beautiful library and plenty of space for fun.
Life Camp offers something for everyone. Campers express themselves artistically in drama, music, percussion, creative writing and arts & crafts. They also enjoy swimming, bike riding, tumbling and sports. The Outdoor Education Program features an outdoor rope course and challenges campers to trust themselves and each other. Our Nature Program and Multimedia Environmental Studies Program encourage campers to explore the natural surroundings of the camp.
Life Camp participants must be between the ages of 6-13.

The Summer Enrichment program promotes social and academic growth, reinforcing educational concepts to help campers continue learning throughout the summer. We also provide traditional Boys & Girls Clubs programming that develops a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence and competency. Each one of our clubs has a state-of-the-art technology center, swimming pool, gym and game room.
Campers participate in programs like Ultimate Journey, which explores the world of plants and animals, and Club Tech which offers campers the chance to create web designs, graphic designs, digital photography, music and movies. Campers are trained in SMART Moves, a prevention program which helps youth resist drugs, alcohol and premature sexual activity. Summer Enrichment also offers swimming, arts & crafts, sports and field trips.
Summer Enrichment participants must be between the ages of 6-13.
